YEAR 5 VISIT TO Earl Mortimer College- Leominster
On Wednesday 8th May, our Year 5 pupils will spend the day at Earl Mortimer College, taking part in ITC, PE and PSHE activities around the theme of 'INDIA'...we will report back!
PRE-SAT WEEK Pilates
Year 6 pupils will take part in a Pilates session with Janet Creamer during the week before SATs to pick up some ways to rid themselves of any unwanted stress.
Please note that SAT WEEK is Monday 13th May- Thursday 16th May 2019. Please see the letter attached for details regarding Easter Homework for Year 6 pupils. Everyone has a folder with practice papers to complete. This needs to be brought back into school on Monday 29th April please. Details will follow regarding SAT Breakfasts and a timetable of tests.
Our topic for the Summer Term will take us out and about around the village, thinking about why people visit. We then plan to take a visit to Aberystwyth to carry out comparative investigations there. In addition to this, our Geography based topic with teach us more about the UK in general also looking at British Values. I have planned and booked 2 trips for HERONS during the second part of the Summer Term. On Wednesday 19th June, we will visit Knighton to look at Offa's Dyke, The River Teme and to carry out a Street Survey to explore reasons for visiting the town.
I WILL BE ASKING AVAILABLE PARENTS TO HELP US TO GET TO KNIGHTON IN THE MORNING AND THEN TO COME BACK TO COLLECT US LATER...
On Wednesday 3rd July we will visit ABERYSTWYTH to carry out similar activities but in a different location. We aim to leave school at 8am and return by 5.30pm.

24 GAME COMPETITION...
On 2nd July, 2 teams will travel to Shobdon Primary School to take part in this annual Maths Tournament.
No pressure, but we have been 24 Game Champions for the last 2 years!
