Our value of the month is - Forgiveness

Welcome to Butterflies!

This half term our topic is Animals!

Each day we will learn a new letter sound during our phonics lessons and this will be posted on Seesaw for you to support your child at home. We will always revisit the sounds we have previously learnt too!

For English, we will be exploring exciting texts which the children will learn and talk about with each other. We are looking forward to reading our favourite stories such as Percy the Park Keeper, Rosie's Walk and Rumble in the Jungle, which will inspire our writing.

In maths, we will continue our work with number, developing our mastery in ordering, missing numbers and calculation. We will be learning all about capacity and making our own observations of numbers that we see in nature.

Each day we will be taking part in group activities which help us with our personal, social and emotional skills, understanding the world, and our creativity. This term we are using Jigsaw to help with our learning.

Our PE days are Monday and Tuesday so please ensure children are sent in their PE kit. This half term we will be focusing on multi-skills and cognitive skills using Real PE. We will also be working on our throwing and catching! Children must wear either a plain white t-shirt, or one with a Leintwardine logo, a skort, navy shorts, joggers or leggings and trainers.

Please remember that our door is always open and we are more than happy to discuss work or personal issues to make sure that your child has the best possible time at school.... there isn't much we can't help with, unless we don't know about it.  If you need us, leave a message with the teacher on the gate in the morning or speak to us after school.  We have new safeguarding procedures in place but these will not affect our open door policy.

Please use Seesaw to find out what we have been doing!
