The Government provides funding known as 'Sports Premium' to each primary school. This is approximately £16000 plus £10 per pupil in years 1-6.
The money is ring fenced and given to schools to improve the quality and provision of sport and PE for all children. A record of income and expenditure is kept in school as an audit trail.
