We're onto our last term...I can hardly believe how quickly the year has gone!
This half term, outdoor PE will be on a Thursday afternoon with Mr Rix and we will be doing cricket. We will be going out in all weathers so please ensure that the children have appropriate footwear and warm clothing! Similarly, we can be hopeful that we will see some sunshine this term, so please make sure that the children also have summer PE kit in school.
We will continue our swimming lessons up until half term and then will be doing gymnastics with Caroline from South Shropshire Gymnastics Club and a Wednesday.
This term, homework will be maths focused and will be handed out on a Tuesday. It will be due in on the following Monday.
Froggy maths will be tested on a Friday. Please practice with your child throughout the week.
Homework will be termly and based on our topic, which is Medieval Britain, but with a particular focus on the local area during this period. As with previous topics, your child will be given a list of activities all worth a different number of points. Between now and the end of the year, your child must complete 40 points. Please bring homework into school as and when it is completed for the children to share in our topic lessons. If there are any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to come and see me.
We also look forward to a class trip this term, visitors coming to work with us on topic work, sporting activities, our special assembly and much more! We will keep you posted.
As ever, if you have any concerns, please come and speak to me.
