Extra Healthy Day

So, What does being healthy actually mean?  These are our ideas.....

 

 

​First of all we investigated how much sugar was n different foods and drinks and made a graph to show what we found out...

 

 

Today we kept fit by playing uni-hoc an dodgeball.  We kept track of our resting heartrates and active heartrates which we measured in BPM (Beats Per Minute)....

 

 

Another part of being healthy is being clean and hygienic.  We used a special lotion and machine to identify whether our hands were truly clean or not...

 

 

 

What you do if there was an emergency and the person you were with was unconscious???
​We practised calling the emergency services and giving key details, then we learned how to put someone in the recovery position and how to give CPR.  We learned a great way of remembering what to do..... DR-ABC!

 

 

 

 

Finally we thought about eating healthily and made delicious soup - Carrot, Butternut Squash and Coriander.  It looked great, smelled great and tasted great too...

 

 

What a fantastic day!
